The colonel ventures to south India

John Keay will be discussing his book The Tartan Turban at the LFL Festival in Chennai and then at Bangalore.

On 14 January 2019, as part of the ‘Lit for Life’ festival organised by The Hindu newspaper, John Keay will be in conversation with Professor Shiv Visvanathan, a social scientist from O P Jindal Global University, to discuss his critically acclaimed novel, The Tartan Turban, to explore the exploits of the mercurial Alexander Gardner.

Now in its eighth year, the annual LFL Festival sees writers, novelists, artists and performers from across the world take part in performances, conversations, discussions and workshops over three days in the south Indian city.
