Among the book’s key characters are two Sikh cavalrymen, Amar Singh and Harnam Singh, one a steadfast friend of Major Tom, the other his self-appointed protector.

This second edition includes a completely new chapter in which Harnam Singh relates the arrival of Indian troops at Marseilles, a port city in southern French, before heading off to the Front.

A MYSTERY SOLVED
