Unravelling the Sikh Empire

Davinder Toor, the world’s leading collector of Sikh artefacts, will join William Dalrymple and Parmjit Singh at the prestigious Jaipur Literature Festival on 16 June.

In what is sure to be an enthralling discussion, Davinder, William and Parmjit will explore the rich history and culture of the Sikh Empire through some of the art and artefacts from the Toor Collection.

Davinder’s book, In Pursuit of Empire: Treasures from the Toor Collection of Sikh Art, showcases many of the items he loaned to the critically acclaimed ‘Empire of the Sikhs’ exhibition held at the Brunei Gallery in London over the summer of 2018.

‘In Pursuit of Empire: Treasures From the Toor Collection of Sikh Art’ will take place from 12:30-1:30pm on Sunday 16 June.
