Writing in one of the UK’s most prestigious newspapers, Alex O'Connell enjoys motivating tales with a South Asian accent.

A mammoth 10,000 new children's titles are published in the UK every year but only 1 is featured by The Times every week, including books by the amazing Francesca Simon (Horrid Henry: Up, Up and Away), David Walliams (The Ice Monster) and Michael Morpurgo (Poppy Field) in the last year alone.

We are therefore incredibly proud that our first children's book by debut author, Raj Kaur Khaira, founder of the Pink Ladoo Project, has hit the top spot!

Praising the range of stories in the inspirational book, Alex O’Connell writes:

There is someone here for every girl and boy — budding lawyers, climbers, film-makers and mountaineers.
